Clapham Common

A unique and contemporary house designed by Blyth Wyatt Budd. The rendered walls and curved copper roof inspired the design for this garden, creating layers of planting. Like theatre stage props, the garden appears larger as the boundaries are lost from view. The curved rill and playful water spouts sit alongside a dining terrace planted with Sophora Japonica (Pagoda) trees and flowering perennials. The curved line of the roof is echoed in the Burlington Stone paths and drinks terrace with rambling, naturalistic planting around the house and striking multi-stem Cornus Kousa (Korean Dogwood).
